These handmade inlay boxes are hand-crafted in Syria by 4th generation artisans and designed exclusively for The Aga Khan Museum. They're inspired by the Shahnameh, a prized series of miniature art on paper within the Permanent Collection. It's made of walnut and enamel along with a mother of pearl inlay. Over 80-man hours have gone into the painstaking process of inlay work making each box unique amongst others.
