These one-of-a-kind earrings by the Toronto-based jewelry designer, Farheen Ali, are inspired by artefacts in the Aga Khan Museum’s permanent collection. Soon to be featured in the upcoming installation, Bloom, these artefacts highlight the important role of plants and floral motifs in Islamic art. This earring collection celebrates the rich floral and nature-inspired imagery in these paintings and ceramics by utilizing painted floral beads, delicate cloisonné and handmade glass. All these elements come together to mimic the lush patterns and vibrant colours of these historical works.
